About 18th Annual Drug Discovery Chemistry 2023
Drug Discovery Chemistry is a dynamic conference for medicinal and biophysical chemists working in pharma, biotech, and academia. Focused on discovery and optimization challenges of small molecule drug candidates, this event provides many exciting opportunities for scientists to create a unique program to hear presentations most suited to one's personal interests by going back and forth among concurrent tracks. New for 2023 is coverage of targeting transcription factors, plus greatly expanded coverage of protein degraders, molecular glues, and artificial intelligence for early drug discovery.

Informative and Interactive Meeting
I like the breadth of talks between the tracks AND the ability to go back and see the other ways after the conference. I liked not having to worry about jumping rooms to get access to the talks.
I would have liked easier access to water. I loved the coffee and soda but also would have liked a big thing of water by the coffee stations.

Great meeting - great connections
I liked the specific coverage of AI and also several hot areas in chemistry such as PROTACS.
Make it shorter - focus on 2 days - more sessions in parallel - I could not stay in SD for a full week.

Made a ton of great connections and got to see what is new and interesting in the drug discovery space!
Sessions were well organized and straightforward. I enjoyed getting to know everyone at the booths.
The portal for the conference was hard to navigate. I would have liked to see a more straightforward attendee and speaker list. I would have also liked to see an overview of the conference as a whole on the agenda page, so I could see which sessions were happening concurrently.

Fantastic conference!
Diversity of topics and talks. Great networking times. Prestigious attendees and speakers.
I would have loved to follow the macrocycles and library-encoded tracks, but that was difficult as they were running simultaneously.

It's a good conference. I liked it a lot; many people did too. It is very well organized. I learned a lot from it.
I like the discussion sessions the best. It helps us to discuss challenges and advances in the area freely.
I prefer the event with the more provided food. The cafe in the hotel is so crowded. We had to walk far away to get lunch.

This conference was great. Scientists need opportunities to network, and this is one of the few conferences that provide this.
If a vendor/ platform company doesn't share any concrete data, they should leave their platform pitches for the booth. If a company has a compelling story that includes data, then this should be presented as a talk.
Reduce the number of vendor pitches and increase the number of networking opportunities.
