This was a fun and inspiring event full of posters and great speakers. The only downside was that most of the speakers and presenters were from New York City. I was expecting some more representation from the Pacific Northwest all in all though. It was fantastic experience.

The A IG A conference is a great place to meet people and to just take a breath, see some great design and contemplate on things.

One of the best parts of the experience I had at A IG A was coming from outside of the the A IG A community and meeting so many interesting people and sharing across disciplines from outside of graphic design specifically. And I found that really rewarding and then just sitting around in between talks or when I had to want to take a break from a session and just people wander up and you have these great conversations. So that was another remarkable part about the experience and just the, I guess you would call it fellowship of the event was something I came back with with a very good feeling.

Fellowship and Community Experience
What did you like best about the event?
The Futures Panel / Session was a highlight as it brought in speakers from outside of design, like Devon Powers, for example.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Perhaps a program guide of attendees would have helped in maintaining or establishing contact with folks.

Great content - but not a great virtual experience. Attend in person next time.
What did you like best about the event?
The quality of the speakers. Having someone from Lyft, and renowned designers is something that I'm not always able to access in my day-to-day life so that was inspiring.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Allow those at home/virtually to access more of the sessions, and have a quicker turnaround time like the Adobe LIVE event for the recordings.

While I was really excited to attend the A IG A conference I attended virtually and I would recommend doing it in person next time. Even though it was a discounted rate compared to attending in person, I didn't realize until I received my schedule that those that were watching from home, like myself were not able to access all of the different features that you could attend in person. I was also really disappointed in how long it took for the recordings to be posted. I'm not in the same time zone as the conference and so I had planned on watching them back after, but it was just delayed. The quality of the videos themselves are great, but again, it's very different than an in person experience.

Fun and inspirational conference
What did you like best about the event?
Speakers with stimulating visuals added a new layer of depth to their words.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Represent the town and region more in the people who present. Offer more frequent 5-minute stretch breaks every 30-45 minutes.

Kelli Anderson and her folding paper videos. The way her words differed from but backed up her visuals. Stunning work!

I haven’t been this inspired and motivated in a long time.
What did you like best about the event?
The workshops were fun to make and I learned new skills. The speakers and discussion talked about interesting topics I can relate to and getting to know new people with the same interest as me is always a wonderful opportunity.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Giving more options for the workshops would be perfect. There are so many ways of expressing our art that finding new ways and learning from experience people is a great opportunity.

It was a great event to be in person. Seattle was a great location and the venue was excellent.
What did you like best about the event?
I liked being able to see colleagues from throughout the country the best. This was great.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I felt like some of the main stage critiques could have been more constructive or educational. Having them be focused on a topic, less rock star designers riffing and more actual critique. Maybe a "my best, my worst" concept instead.

I actually really enjoyed attending a IG A. Unfortunately, my company changed our travel policy after I had already booked it. So I had to attend virtually, but I actually liked that better because I could space it out. I definitely felt very inspired and felt a newfound excitement for design in participating and attending. So, yeah, I think it was it was pretty smooth. I was a little bit worried about the virtual experience but you know, I ended up most, mostly watching them post event. So that was actually very nice and convenient. So, yeah, thanks.
