Great opportunity to connect with key retailers and suppliers.
What did you like best about the event?
The common themes across the speaking events (i.e., focus on AI) and the opportunities to socially engage with key stakeholders.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Opening night event was so loud that it made it hard to socialize with others - also, the food options were not particularly healthy on the first night.

This was my first FMI experience, and it really blew me away!

I loved the keynote speakers the most. I thought their topics were engaging and thought-provoking.

Good interaction and discussions - difficult location.
What did you like best about the event?
The conference content was well-targeted to our current (and future) issues.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Much easier travel (and accommodations) location. There was also a significant exit of attendees after Saturday - so consider removing another day in conference content/activity.

The attendance was amazing!
What did you like best about the event?
Good keynote on Saturday morning. I also really enjoyed the networking opportunities.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The educational sessions were poorly attended and logistically inefficient. This needs attention for next year.

Fantastic event! Well done.
What did you like best about the event?
Amount of people and how upbeat the vibe was. I believe it was mostly positive from a productivity perspective, for all I heard.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Logistics travel time to and from the airport is challenging. The event was spread from wing to wing with no true common area for all to hang out. FMI lounge is always great but out of the way from most of the foot traffic.

Great networking, amazing marketing, meh communication/app.
What did you like best about the event?
The people. The caliber and seniority of the people attending were second to none. As a start-up founder (pitch contest), I was able to connect with and learn from the literal decision-makers across the industry. I could not have done that elsewhere.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The app was clunky and hard to use. I honestly ignored it and just used the paper schedule for the day. The website was also convoluted and not up to the same caliber as other conferences like Groceryshop. Lastly, the communication for the shuttle from the airport was very unclear - I spent 20 minutes wandering around outside the airport looking for a pickup sign, called the hotel, and finally found the pickup people in the corner of the baggage claim with a small sign.

I spent most of the conference talking with people outside the sessions, so I did not really go.

As a first-timer at Midwinter, I found the experience valuable and electric, and it was a great way to network with many of my industry peers.
What did you like best about the event?
The Sports-Themed Cooking Competition was amazing. It felt like shows and experiences of the pre-pandemic kind. Everyone was excited to be there and got to step out of their everyday work life and into a fantastic shared experience we will all remember for years to come!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I couldn't book into the host hotel. I was off-site at an event for the first time in my 25-year career. It was tough to manage the drive back and forth, and the hotel I stayed in Naples was terrible.
