I think overall the conference was informative but very high level, there wasn't a lot of depth of knowledge, also a bit disorganized at times, but overall it was a good conference. I would recommend it if someone's wanting to understand kind of the general digital insurance landscape and trends in the industry. However, if you're looking for more actionable skills or more specific learning points, you may want to look into conferences elsewhere that are more in a niche that you're interested in.

The Digital Insurance Sum Summit was a really good event for Haven Technologies. We were able to meet with a number of folks that we had targeted as, as people that would, we thought would be interested in, you know, having to hear about what we are offering from a software as a service company. And so it was a great event from, from that standpoint, we made a lot of very good connections which we've continued to follow up on and, and continue those conversations.

I thought the Digital Insurance Summit was a wonderful way to advance insure tech in our space. Insurance has been traditionally a little bit slow to adapt technology. And with that, you know, the Digital Insurance Summit brought together key constituents in the areas of insurance and technology and created kind of a an incubation in order to advance insurance into a technology forward thinking industry. So thank you very much for all the work to orchestrate. you know, this important advancement of our industry.

Good to connect with others in the industry I hadn't met before
What did you like best about the event?
Great speakers and topics, good location, well organized, wasn't too long or filled with fluff

More speakers from large carriers, bring in some economists or data professionals outside the industry to provide an outsider's perspective

Great informative event!
What did you like best about the event?
Really wonderful speakers sharing so much industry knowledge. I came away with a lot of learnings and takeaways
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Break up the sessions more. The back to back sessions was a bit draining to not even have a 5-minute break in between

Enjoyed the conference and sessions.
What did you like best about the event?
The smaller crowd allowed more personal conversations. The sessions were quality as well.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The app could have been better and the exhibit hall was limited (and seemed out of the main foot traffic)

A General Overview of the Digital Insurance Landscape - Relevant But Shallow
What did you like best about the event?
The session topics were interesting and I enjoyed the presentations the most vs the panels or the small group sessions.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It seemed a bit disorganized, and I'd recommend a panel of no more than 3 people on it so there's more depth of knowledge shared than covering so many people. It was hard to hear in the small group/breakout sessions so having those in separate smaller meeting rooms would help I think. It also was a conference that was trying to be all things for a wide breadth of industry professionals (ex. you had health insurance carriers there, personal and commercial organizations, fintechs and vendors, insurtechs, etc) all trying to gain knowledge so there wasn't a lot of depth to the sessions and were pretty high-level and not always applicable to those in attendance. I think there could be more curated content to the individuals there.

We met with a number of people onsite at our booth.
What did you like best about the event?
The event was well organized and had a nice variety of speakers. The panel experts were very knowledgeable.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It would have been nice to get a full attendee list in advance. So many people don't use the app that it's hard to connect with them.

Learned about Insurance initiatives and made a lot of valuable connections.
What did you like best about the event?
Sessions on diverse topics with scheduled networking breaks so we didn't have to miss sessions to make connections.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Networking breaks were great. Some sort of tables with numbers on them or something for the breaks. Casual networking worked great, but for people trying to make specific connections at the breaks finding each other was a little tough.

Good networking event. Solid meetings with potential prospects were plenty.
What did you like best about the event?
Networking opportunities and engagement with potential future clients in the expo room.

The Digital Insurance Summit advanced the concept of Insurtech to put technology first in an insurance industry that has been slow to adapt. This forward-thinking will surely advance the effective adoption of technology to power insurance.
What did you like best about the event?
I loved that the event brought together key stakeholders and influencers to drive the industry forward through technology. The return to face-to-face makes Digital Insurance Summit so much more valuable than virtual events.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I think the event could have orchestrated (hosted) some more collaborative sessions. Most of the sessions through the first day and a half were presentation based. Even the smaller sessions on the first day were still big and presentation oriented. The table sharing on the second day did not seem to strike the collaborative chord. Also, a lot of the audience was P&C oriented. It would be good to encourage more group benefit participation with maybe a "group benefits in insurtech" curriculum path.

Good content - Lack of networking/new biz
What did you like best about the event?
The content track and speakers seemed strong. In the few sessions I was able to attend, the content was informative and thought provoking. The speaker group was what drew us to participate in the event.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The networking portion was lacking. There needed to be more opportunities and engagement between attendees, speakers, and especially with paying vendors/sponsors. Attendees and speakers did not seem to make it into the exhibit hall, thus leaving vendors standing there staring at other vendors for hours on hours. I think we literally had less than 10 people stop by the booth over the entire event. Given that this is the most expensive booth cost in our 2022 schedule, it was a huge waste of money.

I really found the conference to be insightful
What did you like best about the event?
I liked hearing of the tools and solutions evolving to enhance the CX/EX client journey ie AI, ML, predictive analytics, RPA
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I would facilitate meetings between vendors and CX Leaders. I would also have an area for demoing and more opportunities for people to network.

Excellent topics and speakers who spoke candidly shared their insights.
What did you like best about the event?
It was a solid gathering of insurance & tech experts. A good variety of traditional insurers and insurtech insurers and partner companies.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The vendor solicitation process was not transparent. My company was misled about the sponsorship opportunity and paid too much for our sponsorship slot. The meeting execution was not well planned - there should have been a prepared MC identified in advance. Jane Wang stepped into that role without prior knowledge of this expectation or preparation. There were several issues with the app.

Great Insurance Conference - A couple improvements for next year
What did you like best about the event?
I really liked the stand alone speakers, I thought there were some great presentations on UX Design, Marketing, and Customer Experience. The lunch and happy hour on Thursday were fantastic!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I would prefer less panel discussions and speaking sessions from the conference sponsors. It's great to sprinkle a couple of those in, but not be the main focus. I'd also prefer more frequent, shorter breaks throughout the day. The main conference room was a little small and it would've been nice to have assigned seating.

This Digital Insurance Summit was insightful
What did you like best about the event?
That there was representation from top insurance carriers such as State Farm and All State gave me a perspective on how to think how to market to our consumers.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Felt like the schedule was not clear. We didn't know that breakfast and lunch were going to be included which don't get me wrong was great. Also on the last day, the closing speaker should have spoken first then had the happy hour.
Did you have a favourite speaker or session? Please tell us below
I would say the State Farm and All State speaker. I as well enjoyed the insights I received from new tech companies such as HIPPO as to what a difference how fast they can get this up and running in comparison to legacy systems.
