About ePay Summit 2023

Ecommerce payments have undoubtedly driven forward the digitalisation and innovation of retail and advanced the seamless shopping experience for the consumer, but where will it go next?

Following on from our highly successful event in May 2022, we are delighted to announce we will be back in London in 2023 to discuss the many different facets that make up the ecommerce payment experience. Once again bringing together all the key people to the ePay Summit stage to discuss and debate the payment subjects that really matter.

Quality conversations about new aspects of payments
What did you like best about the event?
I enjoyed the content of this event overall, especially around e-commerce and how embedded finance/services are creating new opportunities. I attended many of these events and felt I did take something new from some of the panels, which isn't always the case. My favorite speakers were Amelie Arras and Matteo Gamba. The event was also a perfect size to enable some networking opportunities and get around to seeing everyone. I caught up with old and new connections. The food was excellent too!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I couldn't understand why you would have a panel of SEVEN whole people, especially when not one of them was a woman. Seven is far too many for anyone to say much interesting, and gender diversity isn't as complex as it used to be (though I appreciate it's still a challenge). I felt a bit sorry for some of the sponsors as there were technical glitches, and some of the stands were tucked away in the back, so I didn't feel like we got the chance to learn as much about them as possible. I wouldn't improve the content themes, they were all great, but the event did start to run really behind, so some people missed content or arrived at the wrong times for what they wanted to see. Events can run behind, but it would have been good to notify people or update an online/app-based agenda to reflect this.

Stephen Wright from Bank of APIs, Natwest; Matteo Gamba from Wayfair and Amelie Arras from Zumo.
