Love that this conference is specific to HR in Retail.
What did you like best about the event?
I really enjoyed the presenters and took a lot of nuggets from them. I appreciate the conference being in the hotel and primarily focused in one room so easy to know where to go.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The food was not that good especially the breakfast food. I would have like to have break out rooms

Smaller than I expected.
What did you like best about the event?
Relevancy of the speakers and topic covered. The focus on the store’s needs and the inspiration that I got from colleagues and other retailers.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Increase the number of participants. Overall just make the event a bit bigger so we increase our networking opportunity

HR Retail a great Networking Experience
What did you like best about the event?
The ability to listen to what other retailers are doing in HR. Also, it's always great to network with other HR professionals. I was able to meet some great vendors as well.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I felt this event is catered more to a Director or HR Generalist level. I think the organizers should weigh out the audience to meet the agenda.

It was impactful with a good mix of decision-makers, interesting speakers, and a variety of vendors.
What did you like best about the event?
I liked the healthy breaks and opportunities to network- authentically. It allowed speakers, vendors, and guests the opportunity to have casual and business-related conversations.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I would recommend being explicitly clear on which events vendors/ sponsors can participate in. There were awkward moments when vendors/ sponsors were asked to leave the room or not participate.

Ian Carter from Discount Tire, Julie Holbein from Big Lots, were interesting in how they both engage employees, communicate, and leverage organizational change.

Not a lot of traffic at booth, however, the few that I had were larger opportunities.
What did you like best about the event?
I liked the fact that the venue was a small, intimate vendor area and the enjoyed the networking during lunch
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
There is nothing that really comes to my mind other than maybe a networking time during one of the expo times.

Positive - first time back at show since Covid
What did you like best about the event?
Very open to all - attendees and vendors could sit in on speakers or be part of the presentations.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The venue was very cold but otherwise, the setup was excellent. I do think Covid was a factor, but it did seem low on attendees.
