We had a great experience. Working with Melissa Opland throughout the planning process made everything easy to digest, easy to manage, and most of all, FUN.
What did you like best about the event?
So happy to be back in person. I admire AWS for taking the chance to go back to in person. It all felt very safe. It was invigorating and rejuvenating to be back in person.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The way the leads were provided was not the easiest to navigate. Things that would make it easier: separate leads by function. EX: booth scan, gameday scan, breakout scan, etc. The hotel and registration processes were difficult to navigate. Would be helpful to have phone numbers that we can reach staff on. The email ticket/ support system caused us all to be working in circles.

AWS re:invent Needs to Be Solutions Focused!
What did you like best about the event?
Considering there is a pandemic going on, I will be lenient, as they even appear much less organized than SAPPHIRE, TDWI, or Gartner's, but the best part of the event was Dr. Werner Vogel's presentation, as he actually shared some best practices.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Providing best practices and frameworks for their solutions, verses having a service for everything will not only better guide attendees, but lead to long-term adoption. Even Dr. Vogels stated they have too many services because the customer doesn't know what they want. AWS could be a strategic influencer in providing solutions verses individuals services.

It was my first time at AWS re:Invent and I thought it was a successful and fun event!
What did you like best about the event?
The event ran smoothly from a sponsor perspective and the event managers created excitement that spread through the entire week.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
As a sponsor, we were assigned a Venetian Tower Meeting Room and no one seemed to know who I needed to pick up the hospitality keys from. Please ensure the confirmation email details that info because I had a few people confused and looking for who could help me.
