About INHOPE Summit 2023

The INHOPE Summit 2023 "Partnering Product with Policy ' is our sixth annual conference that brings together technology, law enforcement and industry partners to ensure that INHOPE’s network of 52 hotlines continue to remove online child sexual abuse material (CSAM) as rapidly as possible.

The agenda comprises a combination of presentations and panel discussions giving attendees the chance to hear the latest on policy, practice, and tech, in online child protection, and most importantly where they meet each other. This year's speakers include partners from the tech industry, policy makers, hotlines, regulators, law enforcement and other stakeholders.
Online, September 19, we welcome trust and safety professionals, content moderators, leaders in product development and policy, child protection NGOs, technology companies, law enforcement, hotlines, policymakers, government and other stakeholders working in the field of online child protection.

In-person only, September 19-20, is for industry partners and platform operators. Day 2 is an opportunity for product and policy professionals together to bridge the connection between the two. This knowledge-sharing day has a limited number of spots available and all applicants are subject to approval.

Very insightful!
What did you like best about the event?
The mix of speakers and experiences shared and the fact that many points of view have been given a space to be heard.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The hybrid model worked quite well despite this usually being a challenge for organizers - well done!
Did you have a favourite speaker or session? Please tell us below
I particularly enjoyed the first panel hosted by NCMEC because it was interesting to have an NGO ask questions from big private sector names. Plus, I was very interested in what the Discord representative had to say.

I thought the focus on product/policy partnership was right on. It's one of the trickiest relationships to navigate, but since Product is often the team responsible for executing the safety features that help, getting their buy-in is critical.
What did you like best about the event?
The content- I enjoyed hearing from different disciplines about how other organizational functions can work together. It was also great to network with like-minded people. But I would love to see more content around how we can better execute what we all want to achieve by working effectively with Product & Eng.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The food/ snacks could be improved. Also, more content *specifically* related to partnering with products and measuring success.

The Zepeto one and the Nurdle one. Zepeto b/c I enjoyed hearing the candid and relatable journey; the Nurdle one b/c inspired me to think about "measuring what good looks like."
