Very open and inviting environment to learn broad tech topics

What did you like best about the event?

I enjoyed talking with other software developers that were attending and speaking.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Include a plan for families to eat during lunch and have a separate section. I was unable to stay at the venue as I brought my family out to lunch each day.

Great conference if you're nearby (or don't mind a longish multi-legged trip)

What did you like best about the event?

Lots of fascinating technical content, and getting to know more devs way outside my areas of expertise

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Not much I can think of from the usual stuff you see at conferences. As a speaker, of course, I'd love coverage for more hotel nights, and travel expenses! ;-) On a less greedy note, having the sessions recorded might help less experienced speakers build up their online authority. As speaker or attendee, I'd prefer it be easier to get to -- but I understand they're trying to serve mainly the Wisconsin community and neighboring states, so I'm a bit of an outlier, coming from near Washington DC. :-) Also I understand why a waterpark is an attractive venue, to let campers and counselors bring campmates and geeklings, and that waterparks aren't exactly usually found in a city's downtown core. So, I wouldn't at all really *expect* any change on that front -- especially as an attendee, where online is an option.

Amazing event

What did you like best about the event?

That Conference is more than a conference, it's a community. People are nice and friendly. It's a great place to meet other software engineers.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

I have to really think hard to find anything that was actually perfect. The morning 5k was slightly... early. I actually went on one by my own, and it was about 30 minutes after everyone left. Maybe you could give the itinerary on the website, that would've saved me some time trying to figure out what was a 5k loop near the hotel.

Fun, lively atmosphere, and a wide variety of topics featured in talks.

What did you like best about the event?

The content featured in the talks was excellent. I enjoyed the fact that the talks covered all things tech-related, not just programming-related.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

As a speaker, it's very difficult to hear questions due to the large rooms- I found myself walking into the audience to hear people on several occasions. Having microphones at tables could help.

Great family-friendly conference

What did you like best about the event?

My favorite part of the conference is that it is for families. I love being able to bring my kids and expose them to technical concepts. Also, everyone I interacted with was very friendly and welcoming.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

As a speaker, my meals are included. It would be nice if there was a cheaper option to add meals for the rest of my family as well so we could eat together.
