The Convenzis NHS Data and Information Conference series provide NHS IT Managers and data specialists with the latest national policy updates and best practice from across the UK. Over 800 delegates have joined us throughout the pandemic to discuss challenges and how data is being used to help provide a more comprehensive and integrated healthcare system.
Data also played a key role in the fight against covid-19. Key pieces of data, extracted from health and care settings, combined with information provided by patients themselves, will be used in new ways to care for people and help the NHS and social care to better understand and respond to the virus.

The true power of data will be used as some organisations start out on their population health management journey. Population Health is an approach that aims to improve physical and mental health outcomes, promote well-being and reduce health inequalities across an entire population, data underpins this strategy. NHS England and Improvement stated that “Population Health Management is an emerging technique for local health and care partnerships to use data to design new models of proactive care and deliver improvements in health and wellbeing which make the best use of the collective resources”.
