"Small but meaningful!"

The event had a good selection of vendors to visit. Because it was on the smaller side, there was ample time to talk to each one.

I've been going to New Jersey Transaction Conference for about 10 years now. As the event has expanded over the years, the event organizers have done a very good job of, organizing sessions, exhibitors, and time management to run everything very efficiently and smoothly and account for just about any needs that the attendees and or exhibitors have for the event. it's a very convenient way to obtain engineering PDHs, which is a primary reason I go. I guess an added benefit is to, you know, walk the exhibit hall to find and discover new technologies. And also, opportunities for networking. So, I intend on planning in the future as well, and congratulations on 50 years.

Tried & True Formula for Success!
What did you like best about the event?
Networking opportunities and the availability of obtaining PDHs for continuing education. The event venues have been right-sized over the years to accommodate the increasing number of attendees and exhibitors.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Wednesday 4:00–5:00 PM sessions did not offer sufficient courses for Engineering PDHs. Suggest organizing sessions to offer multiple course selections for Engineering and Planning PDHs. Wednesday lunchtime speakers ran long. Suggest vetting speech lengths before the event.
Did you have a favourite speaker or session? Please tell us below
Frank Reilly gave a heartwarming and humorous speech at the Wednesday luncheon.

Really good experience at this information & insightful conference!
What did you like best about the event?
I liked that there were over 1,300 people from multiple organizations. So many great opportunities to connect with others and learn about their transportation-related efforts. From Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) to customer service protocols, World Cup planning, and NJDOT crash data, there was a lot of valuable information to take in. It’s pretty neat to see what NJ does regarding transportation. On a side note, the Wednesday buffet was excellent!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Wednesday’s buffet ran a bit long and went beyond 1:30 PM. I had to leave while the speakers were still talking so I could make it to the 1:30 PM session.

I enjoyed session 68: Transit Dispatchers - The Eyes, Ears, and Voice in Transit Safety (Part 1 of 3). Their content was engaging and is applicable to my area of work.

Great event with great networking oppurtunities!
What did you like best about the event?
I appreciated the networking opportunities throughout the event. I also really enjoyed the karaoke.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Eliminate the band at the pool reception. It is a great networking event but the music was too loud for the past two years. If you want to add music use a DJ with softer music. This will allow better conversations.

Great show overall!
What did you like best about the event?
The attendees were an excellent mix of agency and non-agency personnel. The gathering on Wednesday evening was a fun event.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Move some additional events into the exhibit areas, such as a cocktail hour and possibly the main lunch, because my one critique is that there aren't enough activities in the exhibit area.

What did you like best about the event?
The event had a good selection of vendors to visit. Because it was on the smaller side, there was ample time to talk to each one.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Not sure. A bigger draw from the exhibitor side would've been nice. Being security focused, I'd prefer that.

Great event for networking!
What did you like best about the event?
The number of attendees, the types of attendees, and the quality of the attendees. Great access to networking with important clients.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The technical session rooms are way too small and constantly overcrowded, locking many people out of sessions that they wanted to attend. Suggest holding less concurrent sessions of higher value with larger rooms. Also, the "deli lunch" on Tuesday is typically complained about by attendees as being a bit lackluster.

Great conference!
What did you like best about the event?
The networking and educational sessions were great! This is a great event for professionals involved in transportation and public development.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The food was on the other side of the building, it was too far to reasonably get lunch, sit for a lunch presentation, and then make it to the post-lunch session in time.
