I look after all our Enterprise accounts.
What did you like best about the event?
The event's layout, good speakers, and all the major carriers and freight forwarders were there.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Double print on the badges, better meeting rooms for the sponsors, and the food was relatively poor.

I have over 30 years of experience in the small parcel logistics field, but my ocean freight experience is limited to the past six years.
What did you like best about the event?
I enjoyed hearing from industry leaders on the future landscape of ocean freight shipping. I also enjoyed hearing insight from Sec Gates.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I could only recommend allowing the app to interface with my personal calendar. I also had a problem getting reasonable hotel accommodations as the host hotel was booked at the TPM rate and wanted to charge $800 per night for a room.

Best Ocean Freight Conference
What did you like best about the event?
Monday's content was very good, and it's great to have a keynote speaker who is not from our industry (as has been the case for the last few years)—the quality and expertise of JOC team moderators.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The new layout was needed (to add capacity) but was a little hard to navigate; next time, maybe add "street sign" style indicators of where the different conference rooms are. As there was only a curtain between the main stage and the "booth area," there was a lot of distracting noise from the back. For the panel I was on, the sound crew was not up to the standard I saw last time. Mics weren't tested before we got on stage, and there was a lot of annoying feedback that wasn't corrected.

It was a fabulous time of learning and connecting.
What did you like best about the event?
The keynote address from Dr. Gates was worth the price of admission. The sessions were well-curated and well-presented.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It would be interesting to have one keynote from an individual unrelated to the industry on a related topic (leadership, resiliency, innovation, etc).

Great, but it should be better for diamond sponsors.
What did you like best about the event?
Private suites are a great idea. Not so many VCs, which is good. Ryan, the at guy, was the best I’ve worked with.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The exhibit hall still felt too dark. Placement near refreshments didn't help beyond the first day. Force people to walk through more. Diamond sponsors should have at least been on the hub. I'm not sure if Portx was Diamond, but that placement was excellent compared to even a booth at the exhibit hall, in my opinion, because it's guaranteed traffic. Private suites were super bland and dark. TV stands were clunky. Additional refreshment services for diamonds and cleaning should have been included along with a table. The badge scanning didn't work right or lagged sometimes. I had a few annoying Wi-Fi connection issues with the same network.
