Hi, I have a positive review and a negative review. First, I was a little disappointed I didn't get to meet as many or go to as many panels as I would have liked to. However, I did get to meet a lot of industry professionals that I work with all the time. There were lots of meetings and it's always good to meet colleagues that you work with and you never get to see in person. You had a lot of ideas we could go over and share as for a negative. There were too many stages in the exhibition hall which created a little situation where it could be hard to hear the panels that you were trying to listen to. Looking forward to evolutions in March in LA though.

It was an amazing experience. I didn't get to see any of the panels because there's so many people to talk to, so many people to run into, so many booths to see, but it was like summer camp. Just go and talk to people if you already know people. Great. If you don't know anyone, you're around creators and creators are there to learn to grow, to meet new people. So don't be shy and just start talking to people. So many different panels that you can sit on and learn. So many different places that you can attend. It's hard to maximize it all, but you'll definitely walk away, overwhelmed. But so many ideas.

Hi, this is White Price host of Behind the Swipe. I attended podcast Movement in Denver this year, not really knowing what to expect and the experience far exceeded my expectations. The conference sessions and tracks were entertaining and informative. My only problem was having to choose among multiple simultaneous sessions as excellent as the program was, it was the networking opportunities that will 100% bring me back for future podcast movement events. So many great relationships were facilitated. Keep up the great work, Jane.

We had a good time and connected with interesting people.
What did you like best about the event?
Great vendors, many parties, and a fun location. Interesting panels, too. Good people and easy to navigate the venue.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Better audio would have been sincerely appreciated on panels: I could hardly hear what I was being asked from the audience.

It was great meeting everyone in the industry that I work with. However, too many stages in the exhibition hall made it very loud and hard to hear.
What did you like best about the event?
Meeting all the colleagues that I work with regularly and share ideas for the future.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Not have as many stages in the exhibition hall - or spread out the timing a bit. Maybe only have stages across from each other going at the same time and then immediately rotate to a stage next to the one that just ended to start immediately after (kind of a round-robin approach); that way, there is always something going, and they aren't competing and creating as much noise.

Great for networking
What did you like best about the event?
The range of companies and people. Made some great connections and had valuable meetings.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Have much better meeting areas. It was so hard to find seating to have meetings in the corridors. There was no real coffee shop with seating or many accessible landmarks to meet up with people in. The volume of the talks was challenging. Words should be in an enclosed space. They were all difficult to hear.

Attendance was fantastic. The mood was top-tier, especially when compared to last year. The venue was overall good, but the location was lacking (nothing nearby), and the audio was very difficult to hear with all the panels on the same floor.
What did you like best about the event?
The people. I consistently attend to interact with the people. The attendance on the BD side was strong this year.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Locate within a major metropolitan city vs. outside of it. Audio quality needs to be a top priority. Too many panels overlap with the same topics.

Podcast Movement is great for new podcasters but anemic for freelancers.
What did you like best about the event?
I was mentoring new freelance producers, editors, and audio engineers. I also enjoyed sharing production tips and advice with new podcasters.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Podcast Movement is great for new podcasters but anemic for career advice for freelance production folks. I organized two different meet-ups for freelancers, and they all criticized how little help they had in advancing their careers, mentorship, and finding clients at the event.

Being in community to thrive
What did you like best about the event?
I loved how there was a mix of people at different levels of their podcasting journey to provide a real experience!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Would have loved to have more known headliners —the likes of Guy Raz, Gary Vee that is missing from this event

A great event filled with opportunities to connect and collaborate with other podcasters.
What did you like best about the event?
I love speaking and connecting with podcasters after my session to help them with any follow-up questions.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I would recommend they do not have the sound stages in the expo and use the individual ballrooms and conference rooms instead. The presentations were hard to hear, and the acoustics were bad.

It's great to see everyone, but the layout of having panels in the booth gets worse. It's the worst setup ever.
What did you like best about the event?
Seeing everyone I do business with is the only reason to attend the PM outside of speaking.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I work in production. That layout was terrible. When I was speaking, I could hear the conversations across the way. I could barely hear the person I was doing the panel with, and hearing questions was impossible. Your production team cut us off with 5 minutes left (we can see the time, and it felt like you had never done this before. I won't be going back. My team can go and have meetings without even going inside.

Great Experience
What did you like best about the event?
Seeing people I've only talked to via Zoom or email, now meeting in person. Seeing customers I've only met via Slack. Every connection and conversation opens doors.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Too many events at once. 10 every 1/2 hour. I didn't get to attend hardly any. And now there's 500 hours of content that I'm expected to sift through to gain knowledge of what I missed. Should be less events, and a way for me to get the overview of what was missed without having to watch hours of content.

Great content and fantastic networking
What did you like best about the event?
The opportunity to connect with so many podcasters in and around my niche. We formed an ad hoc group that will live long past the event itself.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Some of the parties seemed a little "on the cheap." I mean, really? One drink ticket?

The panels and networking were great, but the acoustics and comfort in the expo hall were not.
What did you like best about the event?
Excellent attendee list, and almost all of the panels I attended were valuable. I also liked the official parties I attended, although the Wednesday night party was a little too crowded. I also appreciated the small touches, like the desks at most stages for taking notes and the arcade machines at the end of the expo hall for taking a break.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The acoustics in the expo hall were terrible, especially at the Solutions Stage, where the audience could hear competing panels from two other directions, very close by. The expo hall was also quite cold, perhaps overcompensating for the Colorado summer heat. Finally, the WiFi was not reliably fast enough to get work done in the speaker's lounge at one point, I measured it at 17 KB/second.

My experience was pretty awful. I couldn't attend any sessions because they were all in one expo hall, and I couldn't concentrate on the panels I was speaking on.
What did you like best about the event?
I liked meeting the attendees. I was able to build strong bonds with a few of the people that attended.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Never ever put all the stages in one expo hall again. It was awful, and I could not attend one session because of all the distractions. Have different rooms for each panel next time.

I spoke at Podcast Movement, Denver 2023. And, I spoke at three panels. The second panel I spoke on was a pretty bad experience. We did a text check in the morning. Everything looked good. And then when we got to our panel, it seemed like the audio wasn't working. And so our panel was delayed a little over 10 minutes. And once they gave us the green light, we were doing our presentation and about two minutes into the presentation, the slides started glitching, we couldn't read our slides and it started glitching for the audience as well and then it just shut off. So we really had to kind of think on our feet. It eventually ended up working fine. But, but it was, yeah, very awkward experience.

Overall, positive.
What did you like best about the event?
Speakers and Expo Hall were good... And it's always great to connect with colleagues, clients, and creators. PM is a bit like a class reunion for some of us old-school podcast industry folks.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Keep the speaker stages separate from the expo hall. Too noisy. Allocate a bit more time to panels. 30 minutes is too short for multi-person presentations. Select venue hotels that aren't an Island of expensive options with nowhere else to go. I HATE feeling like a captive.

I enjoyed meeting with people, but the content wasn't really for me I mostly work with independent creators in the blogging space, and I didn't meet/find many people at PM in that niche.
What did you like best about the event?
It was so well organized! The app took some getting used to, but it was great being able to message anyone, save my events, etc.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Make it easy to know in the app if a session is best for big networks or smaller independent creators, as well as beginner/intermediate/advanced. Ideally, the BrainDates wouldn't have been so complicated to see/sign up for it was basically a different website than the app.

Great and smoothly ran
What did you like best about the event?
I really enjoyed the setup and the space. The folks helping with the speaker setup were so helpful and everything ran right on time.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I thought the "can only go in through one door" was a bit odd. The space didn't seem crowded so that seemed unnecessary.

Incredibly noisy across the board -- was surprised to see the layout with so many stages in a single room. Materially impacted my meetings and experience of attending panels.
What did you like best about the event?
The Sounds Profitable Lounge was great the only area with enough seating and space for consistent conversation.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The sound! The layout of the stages. It really should have been more spread out and in different rooms. Having meeting areas and stages side by side was incredibly challenging.
