It was a super valuable experience. It was also my first experience at South by Southwest. First of all, I now understand why Twitter and Airbnb use South by Southwest to take off. I also learned that like talking to people 90% of the direct to consumer startups today use waiting lists to launch. And at the same time, it was a great opportunity to meet all coworkers coming into town and being originally from Europe was cool to see so many European professional coming to Austin for this event. It really gives you the value of this festival and this conference. And generally, I guess opportunities at South by Southwest are everywhere.

Interesting people from all over the world, ground-breaking sessions, crazy brand activations, and world-class music.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It's expensive. Cruel. It's still worth it, but you need to get your priorities right.

I found the experience of walking through the company activations at this event very interesting.
What did you like best about the event?
I really enjoyed the conversation-based networking. It was a great way to exchange ideas and experiences with others in the area. I believe we have learned a lot and strengthened our network of contacts. I hope we can continue to promote these meetings in the future.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It was all about control, and the control was in the right hands.

Amazing - loved my experience as a Speaker at SXSW 2024!
What did you like best about the event?
The variety of crossover between music, technology and film communities. Great opportunities to network beyond my immediate industry and access new ideas and ways of thinking.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Our Panel was a meet up with some set up required and our SXSW coordinator starting allowing meetup participants into the event room during our set up time before the event officially began. This created a lot of chaos while trying to set up and also greet people arriving. Communication could have been better between the coordinator on site and the speakers. No one attempted to ask us how we'd like to proceed - they simply started letting guests in before the start time. Both our microphone batteries were dead as well so we couldn't address the crowd to let them know what was happening. It took 30 minutes to get a replacement battery which was not ideal.

Great but disappointed with the sponsors and link with arms trade
What did you like best about the event?
Meeting incredible people, there is so much creativity and talent - I enjoyed the talks and workshops
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
SXSW should not be accepting money from any organisation involved in or profiting from war. It is a true disgrace and I hope this will be re-thought for next year.
