Unfortunately, the event was not well executed.

What did you like best about the event?

Incredible speakers but the various rooms made it hard to hear them and the vendor focused messages felt a bit forced.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Fewer speakers so you can really give them your attention. And instead of fireside chats, panels create more interesting dialogue. Also grouping concepts together so you can learn about relevant topics without running all around. And vendors needed to be less pushy as you walked through the event all. There should be time for that and time for speakers...

Good First-Time Experience as a Speaker at The Lead Innovation Summit

What did you like best about the event?

I like knowing the people involved in The Lead, from Noah to Sonal to Raymond, and feeling appreciated and special as a speaker.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

If there is a way to reduce the overall noise levels, or erect temporary walls for the stage areas, that would help with speaker experience (it was difficult to hear myself while speaking on stage). I would also reduce the expectation for the number of vendor meetings requested. Instead of 16, I would indicate 5. Also, day one, the air conditioning could be improved.

High attendance and energy throughout the venue throughout the day I attended. Easy access to all the venue areas that hosted activities.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Make sure the air conditioning works, especially when hosting an event in July in New York City. Also, enable attendees to share food allergies and intolerances in advance so that they can be assured of having at least one meal option.
