It was well organized with interesting people, but the horrible acoustics in the Theaters spoiled it.
What did you like best about the event?
Smooth organization and support. I met interesting people and new contacts.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The acoustics in the Theaters when giving or listening to a talk was horrible, the worst I had ever experienced at a conference. I would not join a future conference with such a setup again.

What did you like best about the event?
Quality and diversity of talks, networking, opportunities for live meetings and demos.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The location is not optimal. It was very noisy in the exhibition area, and the air conditioning quality wasn't excellent. The sound quality in the speaking halls was terrible - I didn't hear my voice as a speaker, didn't hear questions from the audience, etc. No free snacks and coffee are served during the breaks. The coffee breaks were such a great networking option in previous editions. No lunch (maybe you need to consider such an option, at least for the speakers and sponsors).

BiotechX was an excellent event, with many opportunities to meet people across the life sciences industry and hear about the latest technologies, big challenges, and solutions.
What did you like best about the event?
Attendees - a great mix of people across the sector that led to some really good conversation and a generation of (we hope) productive leads.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The sound quality during the speaker sessions was the main issue with the conference. It was difficult to hear the speakers, and the sessions' noise made it hard to focus.

It's nice to have everything on one floor, but it's an awful venue for speakers.
What did you like best about the event?
The focused tracks were nice, with a good variety of speakers from industry and academia; everything on the same floor was nice, too, allowing us to go from one theater to the next quickly.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The inflatable rooms without ceilings were terrible in terms of acoustics, making it hard to hear the speakers and understand the questions from the audience. I was speaking in Theatre 5, and every few minutes, the restaurant’s staff would walk around theater 5 pushing a service cart with all the plates and the wheels on concrete making so much noise, forcing us to stop talking for one or two minutes!! Please be also considerate of the number of emails you send!!! I think I got about 200 emails from the conference and vendors, making me think twice next year to register again (or adequately set up rules in my mailbox).

I gave a talk in the companion diagnostics section. All the words were interesting, and the session was well-managed. We had active participation from the industry, and I made valuable connections for the future development of our diagnostic platform.
What did you like best about the event?
The combination of academic talks and industry enabled a new type of interaction. Talks were organized very well, and the schedule was easy to navigate.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Our room was an inflated wall, not a real room separated by walls. When the session started, it was impossible to hear the speakers due to the noise level in the space (from the floor and all other talk sections at the same time) I wish we had a room where the door could be closed off, and we could have used all the exciting talks better. All the noise made it very difficult to present the work and understand and hear other speakers.
