Clinical trials and clinical research are essential for advancing medical knowledge, improving patient care, and developing new treatments and therapies for the patients who need them. Execution of this vital work requires collaboration, innovation, and strategic decision-making. Now in its 15th year of fostering these joint efforts to advance our medical knowledge inclusive of all stakeholders, SCOPE Summit 2024 will take place February 11-14, 2024, in Orlando, FL at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Over four stimulating days of in-depth discussions and networking in 28 different conferences, a bustling exhibit hall with 200 companies, 3 plenary keynote sessions, the 8th annual Participant Engagement Awards, the inaugural Site Innovation Award, special cross-department panels, the 3rd annual Master of Clinical Research golf tournament, a Super Bowl Tailgate Party, and a boutique investor conference, the programming focuses on advances and innovative solutions in all aspects of clinical trial innovation, planning, management, operations, and investment. SCOPE welcomes more than 3,300 attendees, 850 different organizations, from 27 countries, in clinical operations, innovation, and research.

What did you like best about the event?
A refresh on the current industry thinking on ClinOps topics and meeting with service providers to see what new services are available.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Minimize outreach by service providers in advance of the meeting. It was highly disruptive, given the number of emails, messages, phone calls, and outreach weeks and days before the event. Also, the majority of the presentations were very high-level. It would be helpful to have more presentations that deeply dive into "how" a problem was solved.

Excellent experience and exposure to issues and opportunities in the industry.

SCOPE is a great environment to hear sponsors' core concerns and initiatives and engage with peers to get greater insight into their needs.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
There is often overlap with sessions people want to attend, making it difficult to hear all of the sessions you would like to attend.

What did you like best about the event?
The focus is on hot topics for clinical trials and the wide range of vendors and networking opportunities.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Make some sessions longer as sometimes the panels barely scratched the surface of a topic before time was up.

Not one in particular, but I appreciated the range of topics and the variety of vendors in attendance.

Great Networking and Introductions to New and Innovative Solutions in Clinical Trials.
What did you like best about the event?
The small and intimate setting of the individual tracks. I also thought that the app and agenda were easy to navigate.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
1) Many people felt that the rooms were too cold during the sessions. 2) Allow attendees to submit questions during a track so that the speaker can address them during the session rather than wait until the presentation's end. Almost as you would see, questions arise on a screen during a Zoom session.

What did you like best about the event?
Great sessions, seeing current and former colleagues, and learning about industry trends.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The vendors were too aggressive in the email (work/personal/LinkedIn/cell/app) both before and during the event. Vendors grabbed my arm when I was walking through the exhibit hall, leaving me with a bad taste in my mouth.
