I am an executive with deep media industry experience and expertise who has created, built, transformed and grown the most innovative and leading brands in audio and emerging media/technology. With expertise across general management, sales revenue leadership, business strategy, operations and partnerships, I have set a track record of success driving growth and innovation in the digital media landscape. Sweet spots: Building and scaling revenue organizations. Inspiring people and teams. Crafting and imparting a vision. Leading through change. Creating successful, people driven cultures. My forte is to be hands-on, tackle obstacles with finesse, and manage the tactical side and strategic aspects of a business simultaneously. I have been credited for pioneering and creating the Digital Audio advertising ecosystem and marketplace with my start-up Ronning Lipset Radio, which was acquired by TargetSpot in 2008. At Pandora, I built the company’s Local sales operation in 2013 into a $260 million business and then built and operated it’s East Region into a $400 million business. As the CEO of SpokenLayer, a pioneer in the podcasting and spoken word audio space, I executed a turn-around by rebuilding the company, repositioning it, and re-energizing it, which brought it to profitability, viability and scale. My work innovating and building in the audio space has been recognized and profiled in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Adweek, Forbes, Crain's New York Business, and Time. And the results of my leadership have been the same throughout my career: I consistently build and operate companies that win.
