I love going to work every day with the fantastic team at Snorkel AI. We're building Snorkel Flow, the data-first platform for enterprise AI where you can build, manage, and monitor end-to-end AI applications with maximum control over the crucial ingredient: training data.
We spent four years developing the core ideas behind Snorkel at the Stanford AI lab, where we developed new programmatic approaches to labeling, augmenting, structuring, and managing training data across a wide variety of applications and problem types. We were fortunate to develop and deploy early versions of our technology in partnership with some of the world's leading organizations like Google, Intel, Apple, Stanford Hospital, and many more, resulting in over forty peer-reviewed publications, inclusion in university computer science curricula, and deployments in products and systems that you've likely interacted with in the last few hours.
Before my PhD at Stanford University where I was advised by Chris Ré, I performed research in machine learning and related topics with phenomenal co-workers and mentors at Google, Facebook, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Johns Hopkins University, Brigham Young University, and the Air Force Research Laboratory. I have a wonderful life with my marvelous wife and three kids in the Bay Area, California!
