Christina Busmalis is currently an executive at Google Cloud responsible for leading the go market in EMEA for Life Sciences with specific focus on ''big pharma''. Christina is also a board member as an industry technical expert at the AO Foundation which is a medically-guided, global network of surgeons, and the world's leading education, innovation, and research organisation specialising in the surgical treatment of trauma and musculoskeletal disorders. Christina has over 28 years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, architecture and management in Europe, USA, and Asia Pacific and has spent the majority of her career focusing exclusively in the Life Science industry. She brings innovative ideas and solutions to her clients to support their digital transformation and has proven expertise in creating and developing new business models to challenge the status quo. Christina is an industry thought leader and frequent speaker with pharma and digital focused conferences in Europe. She is based in Zurich, Switzerland. Previously, Christina was a Director in IBM Watson Health responsible for Go to Market in Europe and Asia Pacific for Life Science clients. In an Executive Leadership role, Christina developed a go-to market strategy and established a high performing sales organisation (25+) including acquired companies to drive Watson Health solutions of data, analytics and (AI) from “molecule to market” into the top Life Science companies across the markets. She drove year to year revenue growth in both mature and emerging markets. Christina was the global Industry Technical Leader for Life Sciences within IBM since 2009 where she created a thriving technical community to identify and drive strategic solutions into the industry. She was a member of IBM’s Academy of Technology. From 2006-17, Christina was the Global Director of Technology for IBM with Novartis globally where she focused on digital reinvention leveraging disruptive technologies across the Life Sciences value chain. Christina was a member of the executive account management team responsible for generating over $1.9B revenue since 2007 globally with Novartis. Christina was an Associate Partner in IBM Global Business Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers/ PriceWaterhourse Management Consulting specializing in integration for digital enablement and large-scale transformation within the financial services industry. She was awarded a final medallist receiving 'highly commendable' status for IT Consultant of the Year 2004 by the British Computer Society (BCS) in the UK.
