I am a leader who gets my energy from people – both externally and internally. I like to spend as much time in-market as possible, working with founders, CEOs, CFOs, and Venture Capitalists to understand their biggest challenges and to help them meet these challenges with solutions that benefit both parties. I focus my time internally on clearly communicating goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as leading cross-functionally and coordinating corporate resources to help the team win. I also get outside of my lane to lead broadly with corporate values and goals in mind. I have had a long career with Silicon Valley Bank as a group manager who leads from the front by directly engaging the most influential clients, prospects, and investors in the market. I joined SVB in Durham NC in 2002 and moved to Boston a few years later to start a new team focused on early-stage tech company clients. We successfully grew that team, and I continued with my cohort of clients through their growth cycles and eventual liquidity events, profiting alongside of them as we supported their success. Eventually, I assumed leadership of SVB’s broader tech banking group in Boston, one of the bank’s largest markets, and I now lead SVB’s National Fintech team, responsible for the Fintech clients in San Francisco, New York, and Boston, as well as payments enablement strategy and solutions for clients across the globe. I am passionate about community and serve on the Board of the SVB Foundation which provides grants to non-profit organizations in the communities where SVBers volunteer their own time, adding financial leverage to the commitment of time and energy that our employees have already made. I’m also active on the Executive Committee for Best Buddies International’s fundraising events, having served as Executive Chair for the Best Buddies Hyannisport Challenge charity cycling event in 2018 and 2019.
