Bio

Since 2008 I have been working as Public Affairs Director at Burson-Marsteller Brussels, providing strategic advice to clients on their relations with the EU institutions, especially in the field of energy and environment. Earlier in my career I worked at the United Nations Development Program in Zimbabwe, the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the OSCE in Vienna, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague, the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg, and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers in Brussels. I hold a MA degree in International Relations and International Organization from the University of Groningen in 1997 and also a MA degree in Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges. I am interested in the possibilities of bringing academic expertise and practical insights together. I enjoy sharing my experience with others through trainings, workshops, and lectures on the different aspects of EU policy- and decision-making, including public affairs and lobbying.
