Emmalyn co-manages Flourish, a $500M global venture fund whose investments disrupt financial services and drive financial health and economic resilience. Emmalyn co-manages the fund and leads the US investment efforts. Her portfolio companies include Brigit, Chime, Clerkie, Cushion.ai, EarnUp, Jetty, Kin, Mantl, Propel, SeedFi, Skipify, Steady, Syndicate, TrueBiz and Unit. She has 22+ years of technology investing experience, working closely with entrepreneurs to build large scale businesses. Prior to Flourish, Emmalyn was a partner at Omidyar Network where she co-managed the Financial Inclusion team. She joined Omidyar from Oak Investment Partners where was a Venture Partner, deploying over $150 million of capital in companies such as Bleacher Report, Huffington Post, Thrillist, and Demand Media. Before Oak, Emmalyn led software and internet investments including Tellme Networks, Neoteris, and MySpace at VantagePoint Partners and the Barksdale Group. Prior to her work in venture, Emm worked as an investment banker in Morgan Stanley’s Technology group in the 90s. She began her career as a product manager for Fintech company, MSCI Barra, a leading portfolio analytics software company. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and a B.A. in economics and minor in mathematics and philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She is a member of the YPO Golden Gate Chapter. When not with entrepreneurs, Emmalyn enjoys time with her husband and six kids.
