Bio

Ginny has been at the heart of broadcasting, journalism and transport for 25 years and is the Founder and CEO of Electrifying.com, which clears the air for mainstream consumers ahead of the 2030 UK ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars. The female fronted, independent disrupter brand was launched in April 2020 after assembling a team of electric vehicle experts and helps consumers understand, choose and buy electric cars, whilst also acting as a service aggregator for the wider eco-system. For the past fifteen years Ginny has been on the Board of Trustees for the Manchester United Foundation, where she works to engage and empower young people through STEM and is the lead trustee for sustainability. Ginny is passionate about encouraging and supporting girls and young women to follow careers in STEM. One of the first female motoring editors of a UK national newspaper and former Sky News anchor, Ginny is also juror for the World Car of the Year awards (WCOTY) and regularly reports on transport and consumer related issues for the ITV1 Current Affairs programme Tonight and C4 Dispatches. Ginny regularly works at UK Government level, and recently produced the Beginners’ Guide to Going Electric in association with the Department for Transport. Her areas of expertise include the automotive industry, electric vehicles and infrastructure, along with autonomy and global trends. Other presenting credits include BBC1’s Crimewatch Roadshow and Watchdog along with ITV’s Granada Men and Motors, where she produced and presented motoring programmes for many years. Ginny presented the iconic BBC One programme Escape to the Country, broadcast in over 50 countries, having also been the host of the BBC’s celebrated global hit travel show Holiday. #electriccars #greentech #EV #mobility
