Joe Whitchurch is currently the Head of Customer Product and Innovation at Mission Lane. Prior to Mission Lane, Joe held a variety of customer experience and innovation roles in over 17 years at Capital One, from product and technology developments which have received multiple industry awards and patents, to designing the conversion experience for tens of millions of customers, to developing and launching the company’s first home-grown Big Data product. Additionally, Joe has always had a passion for helping entrepreneurs and improving the start-up ecosystem. Joe is a mentor and board member at Lighthouse Labs, a nationally top-ranked seed accelerator. Additionally, Joe serves as a mentor with the Harvard iLabs program and advises several start-ups, most recently a data security and authentication firm acquired by Salesforce.com. Joe holds an AB in Psychology from Harvard University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Richmond with his wife, two children and two dogs.
