People, Planet & Profit. These are my guiding principles to doing the things I do. Working with extraordinary talent, to drive sustainable impact in our world, while generating revenue and investments that will allow us to fund future growth. In 2018, I launched StartupX following a decade growing Startup Weekend into one of the largest startup communities in Asia. Prior to that, I kickstarted a few startups (some did decent, some failed), built one of Asia's largest startup community, was part of our national broadcaster's first venture builder, launched a digital venture for a financial institution, and developed and ran a number of pre-accelerators and accelerators in the sustainability, arts and impact space across Southeast Asia and beyond. We're firm believers that Asia cannot be a copycat model of Silicon Valley. My ventures in the last decade show that Asia needs its own innovation model to be able to achieve these things, and I'm working with an awesome team, great partners and amazing innovators from around the world to build it. And that is why we pioneered the pre-accelerator model for early-stage startups in Asia, and also launched the world's first global sustainability hackcelerator with HyperX.
