As a recognized leader in grid-edge innovation, Ken is the Chief Executive Officer of Rhythmos. Rhythmos has developed a SaaS platform that optimizes the electric vehicle ecosystem, enabling the stakeholders to transition to a decarbonized power grid based on distributed energy resources as primary service providers. The Rhythmos platform uses deep machine learning and data analytics to optimize grid performance, considering EV fleet owner operational requirements, existing utility tariffs and rates, electric utility infrastructure capacity and grid constraints, wholesale energy market pricing, and more. Prior to Rhythmos, Ken led the commercial scale and sale of Congruitive to Tantalus Systems (TSX: GRID), an advanced metering and smart grid technology company that transforms aging one-way grids into future-proofed multi-directional grids. Prior, he was co-founder and CEO of Sunverge Energy where, under his leadership was awarded multiple patents, voted to the Global Cleantech 100 list for three consecutive years, and was named a Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practice award winner; achieved top ranking in Navigant’s Leaderboard Reports for Virtual Power Plant Software and as a Distributed Scale Energy Storage Systems Integrator, and named to Greentech Media’s Grid Edge 20 as a disruptive leader to be watched in the field of technology and energy. Ken serves on the Board of Directors for Box Power, providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy to rural customers. He is also a mentor for emerging technology companies focused on energy and renewables through Launch Alaska and Early Stage Montana. Ken has also served as Adjunct Lecturer in Entrepreneurial Finance and Managing Technology Innovation at St. Mary’s College of California Graduate School of Economics and Business Administration. Ken graduated from California State University at Sacramento with a bachelor's degree in Communications and earned his MBA from St. Mary’s College of California Graduate School of Economics and Business Administration and current resides in Northwestern Montana.
