With over 20 years experience working in Musculoskeletal Health, in an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner role on the Fylde Coast for 13 of those years, and having worked in digital health at Lancashire & South Cumbria ICS/ICB over the past 5 years, I have been acting Digital Clinical Lead/CCIO at the ICB since January 2021. I have a track record of leading and inspiring teams to deliver high-quality care and stay true to their values. I have spoken at national and international events as a thought leader and about the fantastic work of our team in Lancashire & South Cumbria. I have a personal and professional interest in mindset, meditation and mindfulness, how spiritual values play an important role in a biopsychosocial model, allowing us to thrive rather than survive. This influences my behaviour as a leader. My digital passions include citizen-centric approaches such as digital social prescribing, supported self-management and digital inclusion, and I currently also oversee person-held record and population health management programmes. I promote a user-centred design approach, firmly believing in co-production and asset-based approaches. I am an 'upstreamist' who takes a holistic view of health (the health of our planet and its inhabitants are inseparable!) that promotes seeking out and addressing the root cause of illness, and have studied with the Institute of Functional Medicine - which I believe promotes an authentic ‘biopsychosocio-spiritual’ paradigm, possibly the most sustainable way to manage long term conditions supporting both the prevention and population health agendas. I am currently open to new opportunities within health, care, academia or the third sector - setting is irrelevant to me, it's about where I can make a difference. I am open to exploring leadership roles in digital transformation, strategy and the wider transformation agenda, population & public health, and I am as keen on 'healing' the health & care system as I am the people it serves.
