Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng MIChemE) and Functional Safety Engineer (FS Eng TÜV Rheinland) with experience providing technical safety and risk consultancy services across a wide range of industry sectors, with a current focus on energy transition (hydrogen and CCS). Currently a Principal Consultant at ERM, a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, social, and other sustainability related services. Highly experienced in a variety of quantitative risk studies and modelling techniques. Trained HAZOP chair experienced in HAZOP, HAZID, BowTies and ALARP. Experienced in safety critical elements, performance standards and COMAH safety report development. Involved in PSM / technical due diligence studies for mergers & acquisitions in oil & gas, energy and chemicals. Responsible for leading concept design projects in low carbon energy transition. Extensive past experience of safety-related work in the nuclear and defence sectors. Other responsibilities include line management, mentoring, training of junior engineers, business development and project management. Previous experience working in business change and investment portfolio management in the transportation sector, a site-based mining / metallurgy role in West Africa, and work in finance for a fund management company in London.
