Bio

Sissie Hsiao is the VP/GM of the Google Assistant, leading the advancement of digital, voice-based assistants, speech and natural language technologies at Google. Her responsibilities include pushing the envelope on cutting-edge AI/ML to understand and converse naturally with humans, and applying this technology to help users around the world, across modalities and device-types. Prior, Sissie led Google’s global display, video and app advertising businesses, where her primary responsibilities included advertiser and publisher facing products (including Google Universal App Campaigns, Google Display Campaigns, Google Ad Manager, AdMob, and AdSense), R&D of new ads products, and managing go-to-market strategies cross functionally with sales, marketing, business development, policy, privacy, and communications. Sissie has also led product development of Google Analytics and Google Slides. Sissie’s career started at Microsoft, where she was responsible for graphics technologies within the Microsoft Office suite from 2000 to 2006. She has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
