"IMEX: A Marketplace of Ideas, Not Just Business."

Excellent networking, right people and right decision makers: One noticeable improvement this year was the overall quality of the exhibitors, though it remains a mixed experience. Too often, the first point of contact is a junior representative delivering a rehearsed pitch, which limits the depth of discussion. That said, when the right people are present—those actually involved in shaping strategy or making decisions—the conversations can be genuinely productive. IMEX remains quite a singular platform in that sense: few other events offer the chance to effectively travel the world and connect with such a range of markets in the space of just three days with the right people around.

    The majority of the world under one roof!
    What did you like best about the event?
    The fact that you could meet companies in person that you would not necessarily be in touch with.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    As a hosted buyer I felt that everything was rushed due to having to meet with so many companies per day, it made it a little full on especially as you don't realise the floor plan before planning meetings so I spent most of the time with my head down looking at the floor plan getting to the next meeting in time. I didn't really have time to wonder or to eat.

    IMEX Frankfurt - An excellent opportunity to make quality contacts and do business.
    What did you like best about the event?
    The organization, from arrival at the airport to transfers, to the location of the hotels and the exhibition complex, made this a very successful event.
    What could the organizers do to improve the event?
    You need to improve the quality of the internet inside the venue; the signal dropped several times. Also need to improve the app. It took a long time to load and update appointments and maps.

    Unfortunately, I didn't have time to attend the speaker sessions. I'll keep that in mind for next year.

    Well, Amex Fran for was an excellent opportunity to make quality contacts and do business. Also, it was a great opportunity to reconnect with industry friends. what I loved the most was the organization from arrival at the airport to transfer to the location of hotels, the exhibition complex, and finally, when they took care of my luggage and put it on the onto the airline. All that from the from the venue really made this very successful and special trip for me.

    The educational tracks could also benefit from greater clarity and focus. At times, the themes felt overly broad, making it difficult to identify sessions truly relevant to one’s role or interests. While IMEX is, by nature, a transitory gathering, there is still room to foster a stronger sense of belonging within the community it brings together. A few small changes—such as more curated content, better peer group alignment, or informal spaces designed for recurring touchpoints—could help reinforce that sense of shared purpose among attendees who return year after year.
