About PIRATE Summit 2022

Founded in 2010, PIRATE Summit is a conference specifically designed for entrepreneurs on their journey.
It focuses on real life experiences, authentic connections, peer learning, and is characterized by its festival-like atmosphere.
An environment for people to let their guard down, engage in meaningful ways, renew old friendships, start new ones, and just be themselves.
Every year, 1,000 curated participants from around the world join.
Although technology is discussed at PIRATE Summit, it actually isn’t a tech conference. It is a conference for those that understand that they are the captain of their life. After all, life is a possibility, and it is what you make of it.
As such, PIRATE Summit is more a conference about entrepreneurship. About exploring the world and ourselves and shaping it into something better.

Hi. So part of it was very well organized. Very nice crowd. Very nice talks, events and animations overall. I think it's a good place to meet different kinds of people and a good mix between investors and startup. Maybe one thing is that the food sector wasn't well represented, but I guess it's reflecting the current investment markets and the current interest of investors are all. but other than that, really nothing to complain about so well done guys. Good job.

Awesome community and thought it was great that we could all meet in such a neat place. Well organized.
What did you like best about the event?
Enjoyed the environment and met some great people. Also loved the fact that Wi-Fi worked well.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Have a wider variety of food, the only things available were vegetarian. Also maybe some variety of styles, like Asian and some basic German dishes.

Nice first PIRATE summit! Great people to meet and a good mix between investors and startups, although the food delivery sector wasn't well represented. But I guess it's reflecting the current market. Good job team!
What did you like best about the event?
The "bonfire" workshops were to me the most interesting place to exchange with speakers and the audience at the same time. Too bad the loud trains nearby came to disturb the conversations though ;)
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The food truck was unfortunately the weak point of the event. That being said, I met very interesting people in the queue!

I loved it all.

The people, the content, the weather, the party, and the beer - all of this was fantastic.

I believe that the event should not be only vegan - personally, I stayed hungry.

The experience was amazing. Great speakers, amazing atmosphere, wonderful people.
What did you like best about the event?
What I liked the most is how chill the conference was. I never got the idea that we were in a b2b event, everything came amazingly close to what the Pirate brand promises.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
If I would have to pinpoint something, I would say the food, maybe. the waiting was a little longer than what would be ideal.

Great for partying and beer drinking in the sun.
What did you like best about the event?
The topic: #raiseyourself. The most important topic for us, humanity, in the next decades, if we are to survive and thrive on this planet.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
It would be great if the talks would be filtered to make sure that the speakers DO have something to say about the topics they advertise. Unfortunately, this was often not the case. Investors / Startups Matching: filtering is of the essence here. Many of the investors were not in the space the startups were active in, making it a pointless exercise.

Host at the Captains Deck on 7th of September
What did you like best about the event?
I liked the diversity of Speakers and Entrepreneurs that attended the Pirate Summit. And I need to highlight the low distance between everybody out there. One could easily get in contact to speak about finance or get some new Inspirations for their own business.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Have an Introduction to all Speakers and hosts. Introduce to the different stages and engage everyone before going on stage. It sometimes felt like we need to organize ourselves. Some presentations were not integrated yet, Speakers and Host didn´t know each other.

I had no idea what to expect from PIRATE Summit and it more than met my expectations!
What did you like best about the event?
The wonderful connections I made with people and the new ideas and possibilities that I walked away with.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I think some structured or facilitated networking opportunities would be good. The food was poor and the queues long.
