Aaron Lippold is the creator and Cheif Engineer for the MITRE Security Automation Framework(https://saf.mitre.org), a CEL for DevOps/SecDevOps and supports MITRE Labs Security Automation and Evaluation Group for the Cyber Solutions Division in the National Security FFRDC at MITRE. Mr. Lippold leads a high-impact cross-sponsor joint work program – the MITRE Security Automation Framework – and a multi-level team focused on bringing DevOps, SecDevOps and automation to bear for federal sponsors. Mr. Lippold has been with MITRE since 2014. Mr. Lippold has been the leader, mentor and builder of teams comprised of up to 20+ MITRE staff working across agencies to execute the development of the technology and capabilities of DevOps and SecDevOps pipelines helping customers shape the vision, strategy and execution to final deployment. Using this experience and thought-leadership, Mr. Lippold and his team develop new software, technologies, expand and extend the current state of the art of existing technology stacks and close the capability gap needed to help customer’s meet their business needs. For more than five years, Mr. Lippold and his team have been supporting the shape, direction and technology of SecDevOps initiatives for an ever-growing corporative of Sponsors, including NGA, NRO, USSTRATCOM, DISA RME, DISA GCCS-JE, DISA NBIS, Army Intelligence (G2), Navy, Air Force, and HHS/CMS.
