Bio

Prior to joining Accel back in 2004 as one of the first team members in the London office, I’d founded my own venture-backed software company and am all too aware of what it’s like to be in a founder’s shoes. My experiences on the entrepreneurial roller coaster taught me just how tough it is to build a successful company and I’ve faced firsthand many of the challenges my portfolio companies now face. This informs my founder-first approach to investing. When looking for the next generation of entrepreneurs to back, I’m drawn to curiosity, a disregard for how things are usually done and a huge amount of perseverance. Above all, I look for great leaders who have the ability to sell their vision and attract exceptional talent to join their journey. Areas I’m particularly interested in include fintech and the next generation of collaboration technology. I currently work with a range of companies, including Celonis, CHECK24, Gravity Sketch, Miro, Personio, Taxdoo and Zepz.
