James is the founder & CEO of FNDR, a partnership of best-in-class storytellers that works hand-in-hand with some of the most transformative founders today, harnessing the power of narrative to liberate the boldness of their ideas and give voice to their vision. He is also the host of Fast Company's ‘Most Innovative Companies’ Podcast. For over a decade, James worked alongside Steve Jobs building Apple’s narrative for ground-breaking products: iPod, iTunes, iPhone, App Store, iPad. During this time, he also founded and was CEO of Apple's exclusive global agency partner, Media Arts Lab, which he grew to 500+ people across 6 offices globally. Since, he’s helped countless world-class founders including Brian Chesky (Airbnb), Evan Spiegel (Snap), Jack Conte (Patreon), Jason Citron (Discord), Nicolas Julia (Sorare), David Basucki (Roblox), Irving Fain (Bowery), Sara Menker (Gro Intelligence) etc. Originally from the UK, he's a graduate of the London School of Economics and lived and worked in New York before moving to California for 20 years. Though FNDR is based in Venice Beach CA, he recently moved back to Brooklyn NYC, with his wife Marie, a photographer/art director, and their two children Leo and Manon.
