Kristin Diaz is Anchor of the Afternoon Drive for NewsRadio 1080 KRLD. The Afternoon News recently was recognized as the 2021 National and Regional Edward R. Murrow Award winner for Breaking News Coverage and also received the Regional award for Best Newscast. The former TV broadcaster returns to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex where she once worked at KDAF CW 33. She spent the past 8 years in Corpus Christi, TX at the TEGNA, local ABC affiliate, KIII-TV where she filled the role as Weekday Morning News Anchor and also served early in her career as the Weather Anchor and Morning Reporter. Her connection to her audience goes beyond broadcast as she has carried a strong digital following across all social media platforms. Originally from Houston, TX, Kristin grew up in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex where she graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor of arts in Radio/TV/Film. She is the former morning show Host of North Texas NOW at North Texas Television in Denton, and also worked at KNTU 88.1 as a DJ and News Anchor/Producer for their newscast, The Late Edition. Her most cherished experience has been studying abroad in London, England where she studied British Media.
