I am an experienced public servant and policy expert, well versed as both a minister’s private secretary and UK Government policy lead. I am responsive to the evolving demands and priorities of ministerial and other senior leaderships through proactive and effective stakeholder engagement coupled with an organised and pragmatic approach to my work. Knowledgeable about transport policy development, legislation, and project delivery within the Civil Service, I have extensive political awareness and nous within both Westminster and Whitehall having worked on numerous high-profile policy engagements and speeches, and responding to parliamentary inquiries, letters, and debates. Self-motivated and enthusiastic, I have a proven track record of positive, productive stakeholder engagement with both national and local government and the private sector that results in genuine and positive changes and outcomes. As a regular public speaker on both my work and Government policy in forums and conferences in the UK and beyond, I have developed and consistently demonstrated excellent, influential communication and emotionally intelligent interpersonal skills, enhancing my work as a capable and influential HMG representative.
